Matthew G. Jones

Associate University Counsel

Matthew Jones provides legal counsel on a wide range of issues with an emphasis on labor relations and employment law. Prior to joining the Office of University Counsel, Matt was in private practice for a number of years where he focused primarily on traditional labor and employment law matters, including matters related to collective bargaining, employee leave and disability accommodation requests, wage & hour compliance, drug and alcohol testing, unfair labor practice charge proceedings, employee discipline, and employment-related litigation. In recognition for his work, Matt was named a "Rising Star" by Super Lawyers Magazine for consecutive years in the areas of employment & labor law and general litigation. Matt earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his law degree from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
